Mental Health Support in Sterling, CO

Finding a therapist in northeast Colorado has not always been simple. Openings fill up, waitlists run long, and the nearest office can be an hour of driving. Momentum Counseling and Consulting opened our Sterling location to close that gap, with real availability and appointment times that work around jobs, school, and family schedules.

We see children, teens, adults, couples, and families from Logan County and the surrounding communities. Our clinicians treat anxiety and panic, depression, PTSD and other trauma responses, ADHD, substance use, disordered eating, grief, and conflict at home. Some people come in with a specific reason. Others just know things have felt harder lately than they used to. Both are worth a call.

Our office is at 120 Main Street, Sterling, CO 80751. In-person sessions are available here, and telehealth is an option if you live farther out or the drive is not workable that week. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and all major insurance plans, and our team will verify your benefits before your first appointment.

Service Areas

Our Sterling office serves in-person clients across Logan County and the surrounding plains, including Sterling, Merino, Atwood, Iliff, Crook, Peetz, Fleming, and Padroni. We also work with clients driving in from Holyoke, Haxtun, Julesburg, Akron, Otis, Yuma, Brush, and Fort Morgan. Telehealth is available to anyone located in Colorado. When you reach out, our client care team will work to match you with a provider who fits your needs, goals, schedule, and preferences. You don't need to have it all figured out before that first step, we're here to help you sort out what kind of support might be the best fit.

Conditions Treated at Our Sterling Office

Momentum works with individuals, couples, families, children, teens, and adults. Common reasons people come in include:

  • Panic attacks and ongoing anxiety
  • Depression and low mood
  • PTSD and unresolved trauma
  • ADHD and attention concerns
  • Substance use and recovery support
  • Marriage and partnership strain
  • Parenting and conflict at home
  • Anger and emotional regulation
  • Burnout and chronic stress
  • Grief after a death or major loss
  • Food, body image, and eating concerns
  • Confidence, self-worth, and identity questions
  • Behavior and social struggles at school
  • Job pressure, seasonal workload, and financial strain
  • Adjusting after a divorce, move, job change, or new diagnosis

You do not need a diagnosis to benefit from counseling. Plenty of clients come in simply wanting to understand a pattern they keep repeating, learn steadier ways to handle stress, talk through something they have never said out loud, or decide what they want their next few years to look like.
