'“Sometimes I get so anxious it feels like a weight is sitting on my chest.”

“My intrusive thoughts are so loud and disturbing that I can't focus on anything else.”

“After my narcissistic relationship ended, I felt free and completely broken at the same time.”

I see you and Im here for you.

These thoughts can be debilitating and my hope is to create a space where acceptance, validation, and understanding serve as the foundation for healing and growth. My journey is fueled by a passion to support individuals facing an array of challenges.

My Therapeutic Approach

I firmly believe that every person's experience is deserving of acknowledgement. I'm here to walk alongside you, offering a compassionate and empathetic space. Through shared understanding, we can navigate the complexities of your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Recognizing the diversity within mental health, I am particularly committed to creating an inclusive and affirming environment for all cultural identities.

I draw from rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) and work with you to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, fostering positive changes in behavior and perspective. Additionally, I incorporate the strengths-focused approaches of solution-focused and narrative therapy, empowering you to tap into your resilience and rewrite the narratives of your life.

Grounded in reality therapy and choice theory, our sessions become a collaborative journey toward self-discovery and personal agency.

To see if we are a good fit, you can email, call/text me, or fill out this form to schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you.

More about me:

Hi there! I'm Katie, originally a California native who has found a new home amidst the beautiful landscapes of Fort Collins, Colorado. Growing up, I developed a passion for mental health, leading me to pursue my undergraduate degree in psychology from National University, and now a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.

Outside the counseling room, you'll likely find me immersed in various activities like hitting the gym, watching thought-provoking movies, hiking Colorado’s trails, or spending time with friends and family.
