This position can be fully remote, hybrid, or in-person at one (or several) of our locations in Boulder, Broomfield, Central Park, Colorado Springs, Denver, Durango, Englewood, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Loveland.

This position is fully remote for clinicians residing outside of Colorado, with nationwide offices coming soon!

As a practicum or internship student at Momentum Counseling, you will join a dynamic practice, work in a beautiful environment, and collaborate with a close-knit group of clinicians.

We want you to set your own schedule, see the clients you want to work with, build your ideal caseload, and enjoy what you do.

At Momentum, we help our clinicians do what they enjoy most. We have created a warm and supportive environment that allows you to focus on clinical work, learn, grow, and thrive.


What we do:

Our team of highly specialized counselors includes people with expertise in: addictions, adolescents, young adults, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, chronic illness, couples counseling (including non-traditional relationships), eating disorders, family therapy, grief, relationships, attachment issues, trauma, men’s issues, OCD, perfectionism, performance anxiety, trauma, career, self-esteem, body image, LGBTQIA+ community members, trans-youth.

We work with clients of all ages, providing services to individuals, couples, and families across Colorado. We offer counseling through in-person, hybrid, and remote settings.

Our therapists employ a variety of modalities, including: the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Counseling, Systemic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy.


What you will do:

At Momentum, you will have flexibility and autonomy while practicing in a supportive group environment. You will be provided with the opportunity to broaden your skills and knowledge while playing an instrumental role in the company.

If you are interested in getting involved with the growth of Momentum, there are always new projects to participate in. Projects can include, but are not limited to: marketing, hiring, research, developing new programs for clients, developing resources for clinicians and clients, etc.

  • Have excellent computer and organizational skills with an attention to detail.

being a Supplemental site:

We are willing to be a supplemental site for students as long as they fulfill our 6 client sessions for practicum and 12 client sessions for internships. Additionally, interns should complete the required number of direct and indirect hours required by their school, completing all documentation thoroughly while following the expectations of Momentum Counseling. Students need to meet with an MCC supervisor weekly for at least 1 hour. Interns and practicum students are expected to follow the laws, codes of ethics, and MCC rules regarding professional, ethical and legal behavior.
