“I don’t know how to cope with my big emotions.”

“Life feels too distressing for me to enjoy.”

“I don’t know how to meet my needs.”

I am invested in helping you learn to care for yourself.

I understand how challenging it can be to regain a sense of safety or comfort. But healing from pain does not have to be impossible. I believe it is important for people to be seen and cared for in the therapy space, regardless of how challenging their circumstances are. I am committed to helping people build a life that feels satisfying, regardless of our past experiences.

My Therapeutic Approach

I view therapy as a collaborative relationship, where we are both equally committed to decreasing your suffering. While I may be considered the “expert” in the science of therapy and delivering interventions, you are the expert in your life and what you need. By working together, I hope to always make someone feel autonomous and in control of their healing.

I practice using a combination of theories and models, so that every client gets unique treatment. I pull from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy, and Attachment Therapy. I try to hold a balance between process and practice: there is space to talk through the narrative of your life, and then there is intentional skill building and coping interventions. Through compassion and accountability, I encourage people to put our work into action so you can notice change and growth.

The human experience is diverse, and there is no right way to heal. My goal as a therapist is to be patient, understanding, and allow you the freedom to find your own satisfaction. Returning to a sense of safety in the world is an empowering process, and I look forward to joining you in it.

To see if we are a good fit, you can email, call/text me, or fill out this form to schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you.

more About me:

I currently deliver therapy to a small caseload in private practice, and I provide clinical supervision at a perinatal mental health organization. Outside of providing direct care and supervision, I am really committed to spreading the word about mental health! As part of my commitment to destigmatize mental health, I try to participate in as much content creation and press work as I can. To date, I have been interviewed for 19 mental health articles for major publications including Well+Good, The Guardian, Healthline, and The Skimm. Part-time, I collaborate with a Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Organization creating educational workshops for survivors. I have also presented 24 times as keynote speaker or lead presenter, delivering seminars on trauma-related topics to schools in NYS and other professional organizations.
