“Sometimes life feels like too much and I shut down, not wanting to do anything.”
“I am always taking care of other people and don’t have the time or energy to take care of myself.”
“I have difficulty sleeping because my brain doesn’t shut down or I’m worrying about the future.”
I’m here for you.
I believe that feelings need space to experience. Sometimes, we need a neutral ear to listen to our challenges without judgment. I can help you navigate these tough times and sit with your feelings. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge thoughts that get in the way of progress and healing. Together, we will talk about what’s going on in your life or mind, make space for feelings, and seek solutions that will foster personal growth and positive mental health.
My Therapeutic Approach
In counseling sessions with me, you can expect to be met with a friendly face and a listening ear. I believe that a trusting, collaborative counseling relationship is essential for successful treatment. The mind is a powerful tool that we can train to work for our benefit. I enjoy incorporating breathing techniques and mindfulness exercises to strengthen the mental muscles. I empower my clients to believe in themselves and their resiliency to do hard things.
To see if we are a good fit, you can email, call/text me, or fill out this form to schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you.
More about me:
I am a wife, mom, reader, and cat lover. I found my career in counseling after a few unfortunate sessions with therapists that left me saying “I could do better than that.” I have life experiences that contributed to my empathetic nature and understanding of people. I was a client before I was a counselor, so I have been where you are.
