“I struggle to get out of bed.”

“I feel like a failure.”

“I criticize myself all day.”

“I have a hard time taking care of myself.”

You are Resilient.

When we are together, my goal is to create a safe, calm and warm space for you to find healing and growth. It can be difficult to catch your breath with everything you are balancing. My hope is that our sessions will challenge you but also provide relief and connection.

My Therapeutic Approach

I believe that each client is unique and should be treated as such. I enjoy being flexible to the individual needs of my clients and working to understand their worldview. I utilize techniques from, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), emotionally-focused individual therapy (EFIT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. A fundamental part of my approach is highlighting my client’s personal strengths and honoring their expertise. I am passionate about expanding my knowledge of different approaches and staying up to date on current research.

To see if we are a good fit, you can email, call/text me, or fill out this form to schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you.

More about me:

Before transitioning to counseling, I worked as a licensed speech-language pathologist for children and adults. I have experience working in inpatient, outpatient, senior care, home health, and private practice settings. While doing this work, I saw that the mental health needs of my clients were not being met and I wanted to do something about it.

Working with a variety of clients such as disordered eating behaviors, body image, self-esteem, self-harm, gender identity, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles has enabled me to connect with clients on a much deeper level. I continue to be passionate about working with college students and young adults as I believe that this stage is the perfect time to discover yourself.

My husband and I are now living in Durango, Colorado with our silver lab. We enjoy being on the river, camping, and traveling to see family and friends. My personal interests include cooking, baking, pilates, yoga, and wellness practices.
