“It’s just really hard to feel at ease these days.”
“I have a hard time finding the energy to do anything anymore.”
“I’m having a hard time connecting to my emotions.”
“Sometimes others just get to me and I’m not sure what to do about it.”
I Hear You.
Life is certainly hard at times—together we can facilitate personal growth, healing, and increasing the quality of your experience. I am here to connect with and understand your unique circumstances so that we can safely navigate any hurdles that arise.
I am passionate about:
My Therapeutic Approach
I believe that the human mind has the capacity to transform itself by understanding who we are, where we came from, and where we’re headed. My therapy style is varied, tailoring my approach to each individual. Through understanding ourselves, we can look at the patterns and emotions that may not be serving us any longer.
I am psychodynamically trained, which means that gaining insight through your past relationships and experiences may help facilitate your growth. Other interventions I like to use include mindfulness, emotional awareness, and existentially-based therapy. This last one can sound deep, but ultimately it’s about helping to create meaning in your life when it matters most.
To see if we are a good fit, you can email, call/text me, or fill out this form to schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to meeting you.
More about me:
I grew up in the windy city of Chicago and made my way to Boulder over 9 years ago. After pursuing a psychology degree at Loyola University, I took considerable time to explore all of my interests to make sure that I was indeed following my passion. Naturally, I landed back in graduate school at Northwestern University to pursue a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Mental health and wellness, philosophy, and spirituality have always been on the agenda for me. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and watching basketball, hiking, running, fostering cats and dogs, chess, learning languages, and reading.
Education:
Master of Arts - Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Counselor in Training - Northwestern University
